The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Skeleton in pink is a striking new watch inspired by the Las Vegas street races, reflecting the excitement of the Formula 1 scene. Formula 1 has always featured bright green lanes adorned with Rolex signs, highlighting the strong connection between the two brands. However, Rolex has now withdrawn its sponsorship from this renowned racing organization. Instead, TAG Heuer will be the new sponsor, not for the entire Formula 1 series, but for Max Verstappen, the current dominant driver, and his team, Red Bull.
Design and The Details of The Monaco Chronograph Skeleton in Pink
The new Monaco Chronograph Skeleton In Pink features a familiar case that measures 39mm wide, 15.2mm thick, and 47.4mm lug-to-lug. Crafted from titanium, the watch has a black DLC coating with a sandblasted finish. While it’s a chunky watch not suited for everyone, titanium makes it somewhat lighter. The beveled sapphire crystal on top and the 100 meters of water resistance remain unchanged.
Dial
The dial is partially skeletonized, featuring a black base with cutouts to reveal the movement inside. It displays a white minute track, and black indices with bright pink lume, and the indices also function as bridges for the sub-dials, logo, and date arrow. The skeletonized date wheel is visible through the dial, with the correct date displayed under the arrow at 6 o’clock. The same bright pink is seen on the lume accents of the two square sub-dials: the 30-minute totalizer at 3 o’clock and the 12-hour totalizer at 9 o’clock. The hour and minute hands are black gold with faceted designs and a white lume that glows blue, while the central chronograph hand is bright pink.
Power
Inside Monaco Chronograph Skeleton In Pink houses, the in-house automatic Calibre Heuer 02, which features a column wheel and vertical clutch mechanism, operates at 4Hz and boasts an 80-hour power reserve. The rotor is black open-worked with pink writing and Geneva stripes. The watch has a strap made from embossed black calfskin leather and rubber, equipped with a DLC-coated titanium folding clasp.
The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Skeleton In Pink is now available, and surprisingly, TAG has not labeled it as a limited edition. The price is set at €11,100. For more details, visit the TAG Heuer website.
