Timex is having a special giveaway in honor of its 170th anniversary. On November 16, the watchmaker is offering 1,000 “Waterbury” timepieces for $1 each. According to Timex, the watches would typically retail for $119. They will be accessible to customers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, India, and the European Union online and at participating physical stores starting at 10 a.m. local time.

Timex was founded in 1854 as the Waterbury Clock Company in Waterbury, Connecticut, the watch’s name pays homage to its history. In the “Waterbury” series, the limited dollar watch has a leather band, an elegant ice-white display with the official 170th Anniversary Edition emblem, and Roman numeral markers coated in three dimensions. To mark the milestone anniversary, the case back has been carved including the words, “This watch celebrates simply great watchmaking since 1854,” and “A TRUE AMERICAN ICON“.
