Recently there has been a trend in which watchmakers are the main sponsors of sports tournaments. For example, Tag Heuer is the official timekeeper of Formula 1 in 2025, and now Tissot is sponsoring the NBA as it continues to excel in what it does best. A prime example of this came on January 23, 2025, when Tissot not only launched the new Tissot NBA Supersport Special Edition 2025 watch but also announced the extension of its global partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and NBA G League. Featuring Tony Parker, Former NBA championship winner with the San Antonio Spurs, as a Tissot Ambassador.

Design and Details of the Tissot NBA Supersport
The redesigned shot clock—used to track the time a team has to take a shot—has been upgraded with new technology while keeping the same appearance. It still features the same-sized digits and colors for familiarity but now includes adjustable lighting and an integrated green signal for coaches’ challenges. These shot clocks will debut in NBA arenas for the 2025-26 season and in the WNBA in 2026.

This Tissot NBA Supersport is bold, maybe even over the top. The stainless steel case has a black PVD coating and measures 45mm in width, 11.92mm in thickness, and approximately 54mm from lug to lug (based on other Supersport Chrono models). A sapphire crystal sits atop the case, surrounded by a steel bezel with a black aluminum insert. The pushers are large and chunky, with noticeable crown guards. It is water-resistant up to 100 meters.

The dial has a gradient effect, shifting from a lighter center to a darker edge. The highlight is its texture, designed to resemble the surface of a basketball. The hour markers are white, with Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 9 o’clock. The Tissot NBA Supersport seconds hand incorporates the NBA logo as a counterweight. Red, blue, and white accents appear throughout the dial, with 24 small square indices as a nod to the NBA’s 24-second shot clock.

The Tissot Supersport NBA 2025 is available now for $475. More details can be found on the Tissot website.
