Czapek Launches Limited Edition Antarctique Purple Storm: A Space-Inspired Timepiece

Czapek is particularly known for the highly textured dials on their Antarctique integrated steel sports watch line. These intricate patterns are crisp and have a distinctive look. Their latest release explores a space-inspired theme, following previous models like the Antarctique Orion Nebula and the Antarctique Celestial. The new Antarctique Purple Storm features a stunning dial that resembles the vastness of space.

Design and Details of Antarctique Purple Storm

In terms of design, Antarctique Purple Storm retains the 40.5mm wide, 10.6mm thick stainless steel case with a sunray-brushed finish and a polished bezel. It has a box-style sapphire crystal on top and a flat sapphire crystal at the back to showcase the movement. The watch is water-resistant up to 120 meters.

The dial, crafted by Metalem from La Chaux-de-Fonds, showcases a range of violet shades, from bright purple to nearly black. The striking colors are so impressive that Czapek removed any indices and the date window, leaving only the white Czapek logo. The hands are silver, polished, and filled with luminescent material.

Inside is the Czapek SXH5 self-winding micro-rotor movement, which operates at 4Hz and has a 60-hour power reserve. The visible micro-rotor is made from recycled platinum. This Antarctique Purple Storm comes with the signature Antarctique integrated bracelet featuring high-polished middle C-shaped links.

This will be an extremely limited edition, with only 18 pieces of the Czapek & Cie. Antarctique Purple Storm being produced, each priced at CHF 25,000 before tax.
