The 1174 Parade is the latest offering from the French independent brand Serica, known for its unique timepieces. For years, Serica has captivated watch enthusiasts with its retro-designed watches that feel like they belong in a different timeline, distinctively referencing historical pieces. The Design And The Details of The Serica 1174 Parade

The designers of the 1174 Parade were inspired by the shape of stadiums, creating an elliptical form with straight sides that feel modern. To achieve this, they designed a compact stainless steel case that measures 35mm wide and just 8.6mm thick (with an automatic movement inside) and a length of 41mm. The absence of lugs enhances its compactness and wearability. The watch also features a broad flat bezel with distinct vertical brushing that flows into the case, contrasted by polished bevels on both the bezel and the case. Although it is a dress watch, it maintains a practical 100-meter water resistance.

Dial

Moving to the dial, it offers pure minimalism with two versions available: black and gold, both featuring stunning sunray finishes that add texture. The indices are small spherical hour markers, with no numerals or logos—only a tiny “Serica Swiss” at the bottom. To enhance the visual appeal, Serica adds a deep S-Curved guilloché pattern to both dials. The hands are mirror-polished and have a “leaf-sword” shape, with silver on the black dial and black on the gold dial.

Power

Inside the watch is the SoProd M100 automatic movement, remarkably thin at 3.6mm, allowing the entire watch to maintain a thickness of just 8.6mm. Finding such a slim automatic watch is rare, especially at this price point. The movement operates at 4Hz and has a 42-hour power reserve while featuring Côtes de Genève finishing. The watch comes with a grained calf leather strap that tapers from 18mm to 14mm, secured with a unique “stadium” pin buckle that mimics the shape of the bezel.
