Case

The Perpetual Moon is usually available in 38 or 41.5mm sizes, but this Fern Green version is only offered in the 41.5mm size. The case is made from polished platinum and is 11.3mm thick. A thick bezel maximizes the dial’s opening, allowing for excellent visibility.

Dial

The engraving on the base of the dial is inspired by ferns from Cornwall, where English clockmaker John Arnold was born. The dial is treated to achieve a rich green color, with small hour markers placed around the edge and highlighted by syringe hands. The standout feature is the large 29mm opening displaying the moon phase, set against a dark blue sky, with mother-of-pearl discs coated in Super-LumiNova for the moon. The Ursa Major and Cassiopeia constellations are also painted on the dial.

Power

Inside the Perpetual Moon Platinum Fern Green Edition is the manual wind caliber A&S1512, which operates at 3Hz and has a power reserve of 90 hours. The moon phase only deviates by one day every 122 years. It features an additional moon phase indicator on the case back with a precise scale for easy adjustment, solving a common problem with moon phase watches. The watch has a matching green alligator strap and a platinum pin buckle.
