It seems that a ring watch is considered a humorous product of a watch that could be purchased reasonably. It seems Casio appreciated the humor of the ring watch because they are now introducing their version as part of their 50th-anniversary celebration, the CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch.
Design and Details of the CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch
The Casio Ring Watch resembles a miniature version of the iconic G-Shock full-metal B2100 and B5000 series. The case is made using Metal Injection Molding technology, which involves injecting powdered metal to create the intricate shape of the ring watch. The case, back cover, and ring are molded as a single piece with glass bonding technology to ensure waterproofing. The ring watch measures 20mm wide with a circumference of 62.8mm, designed to fit a size 22 finger (US size 10.5, EU size U), and comes with two size-adjusting spacers for sizes 19 (19mm inner diameter) and 16 (18mm inner diameter).
Beyond being a ring, it also functions as a watch which has CD displays hours, minutes, seconds, dates, dual time, and stopwatch functions. Additionally, it features a flashing light that lights up your hand at a set time. It is battery-powered, although the battery life is not specified.
The new CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch will be available in December for €128. You can find more details on the Casio website.
